Livy and Owen Pre-Wedding Shoot in Poynton

enter

This is the very lovely and hilarious Livy and Owen! When I first met them last year, they were one of those couples that I immediately felt I connected with and I was so excited when they booked me for their wedding at one of my favourite venues, the incredible Styal Lodge.

Having got to know them over the course of the planning of their wedding and spending time with them on their pre-wedding shoot, I have really got a sense of what their wedding day is going to be like. Lot’s of fun!

Livy and Owen suggested that we shoot their pre-wedding images at the canal in Poynton, somewhere they’d enjoyed time together and water was quite a key part as well. They’re both experienced sailors and love being by water of any kind. The canal at Poynton is an old haunt of mine as it happens. I’ve spent many a sunday afternoon walking along there with my family over the years so it was great to look at it from a different perspective.

We had a really good laugh and it was great to see them immediately relaxed when we started shooting. We’re going to get some awesome stuff at Styal Lodge!

Here’s some of my favourites from the shoot…

As we were walking from the canal to the nature reserve in The Coppice in Poynton, we cut through this playground….which Livy and Owen couldn’t resist getting involved with….!!!

It took me a while to get them off the swings, but we soon got back on track!

I love this sequence of shots. We went for a drink afterwards – Livy and Owen are fans of ‘proper bitter and ale’ (a couple after my own heart!) so it was great to shoot them enjoying a pint together at The Boars Head by The Middlewood Way (opened in 1985 by David Bellamy fact fans!)

It was great fun spending time with Livy and Owen and I seriously can’t wait to photograph their wedding. It’s going to be a fantastic day!
