I’ve been saving this wedding for a little while…I LOVE it – living and breathing proof that you don’t need a gorgeous sunny day for gorgeous wedding photographs
I have to admit, I was a little nervous when I looked out the window on the morning of Nic & Mark’s wedding and saw, quite literally, torrential rain. I know that in an ideal world, every bride and groom would get a lovely, sunny, warm day, but sadly when you live in the North-West of England, that kind of weather doesn’t come around very often… I wouldn’t have blamed Nic & Mark for having a total sense of humour failure about the weather and I think the fact that they actually live in Spain made it even worse and could have potentially left them thinking that they’d wished they’d flown everyone out to see them get wed in far more predictable and sunny weather!
But they were awesome. They laughed out loud. They embraced it. And we even got outside at one point! I think the very fact that Nic & Mark had booked such a stunning venue in Mitton Hall, reassured them that even if they couldn’t get outside, the had the beautiful interior of the venue to use for their photographs.
I love photographing weddings at Mitton Hall. The staff are amazing (Dave and Sarah and all your team – thanks for looking after me as always!) the venue is spectacular – you don’t need much more than that!
So, looking like I was about set off on a 2 week adventure on a fishing trawler with all the wet weather clobber I could find, I arrived at Nicola’s parents house in the morning…
Nic & Mark had booked my great friend, Paul Guard, to do his thing during the wedding breakfast – he was AWESOME!
Congratulations Nic & Mark!
Thanks for having me along for the ride and trusting me when I said everything was going to be ok….!!!
