Where to start with this wedding?!!!? I first met Lindsay and Chris in September 2010 to chat about their wedding photographs. I love chatting to brides and grooms who place a genuine importance on their wedding photographs and it’s especially exciting when you’re chatting to them about their wedding in a Chateau in France! We had great fun on their pre-wedding shoot in Blackpool a couple of months ago and I really got my head round the kind of wedding they wanted theirs to be – relaxed, fun, plenty of time with their friends and family and a few great shots of the two of them in their spectacular venue and surrounding area – easy!
Emma was also booked to do make-up for Lindsay and the girls so we travelled out (on the same flight as Linz & Chris!) on Friday morning and spent a couple of amazing days at Chateau de Lavaud just down the road (huge thanks to Florence and Robert for looking after us and making us feel so welcome!) We popped over to Chateau de la Couronne on Saturday afternoon to say hello to Linz and Chris and to have a good look around ahead of their big day on Sunday… Which leads us nicely on to Sunday at the Chateau…
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have stayed in this room…(seriously)
Lindsay’s gorgeous dress by Pronovias from Dan Kerr…
Time to see what the lads were up to…
There’d been a lot of scaremongering by the locals that Sunday was going to be a total washout, but the weather was gorgeous! So Lindsay and Chris spent the afternoon on the terrace with their friends and family…
Jubilee weekend – so it felt appropriate to have a royal influence for a few minutes…!!!
Speech time – and they were AWESOME!!! Too many great laughs to remember – and too many inappropriate ones (in a good way!) to repeat here!!!
Chris had a ‘moment’ and his brothers Warren and Gary came to the rescue with a group hug!
While the room was being set up for dancing, we sneaked off (very discreetly in the most appropriate wedding transport we could find – our Ford KA hire car!) into Marthon for a couple of minutes…
Then back to Chateau de la Couronne for one last photograph outside the chateau before the first dance…
Congratulations again Lindsay and Chris – it was an amazing day and thank you so much for having us along. I was amazed to see so many fresh faces at the airport this morning as well!
Have an amazing honeymoon and we’ll catch up in a few weeks!
